Missouri Maternity Insurance:

Not happy with your current maternity coverage?

Unless you are fortunate enough to have an employer sponsored health insurance plan, finding good quality and affordable maternity coverage can be like trying to find the proverbial needle in the haystack.  Everyone knows that having a baby can get expensive and pretty quickly at that.  Estimates vary between $8,000 - $12,000 for the total pregnancy depending on several factors including: whether its a traditional birth; where the child is delivered and whether there are additional complications.  The problem is most individual health insurance plans cover only a fraction of the total expenses and oftentimes make you wait the better part of a year or more before you can use the benefit.

We offer a "Defined Benefit" or "Scheduled Benefit" policy.  Benefits are paid according to a schedule (unlike a traditional insurance plan where any claim is payable up to the policy limits, e.g. $1,000,000).  With a Supplement the insurance company spells out how much you will be paid and places "caps" on what is paid depending on the service provided.   And, benefits are not limited to just those related to maternity - any illness or injury is an eligible expense.  The plan was designed to be added to an existing high deductible health insurance plan and benefits are paid directly to you from the insurance company, sort of like a disability plan.  You'll be pleasantly surprised at how affordable this supplement really is.

1. Up to $1,000 when admitted to a hospital and $500 each additional day (that's a couple thousand bucks even if you are in the hospital for only a couple of days);
2. A separate benefit of $3,000 for surgery and anesthesia (anesthesia is limited to 25% of that);
3.  Receive $100 for an imaging test per calendar year needed during the pregnancy and $25 for other diagnostic tests up  to two; $25 per wellness visit.
4.  $75 for each doctor visit, up to five (5).
5.  No Waiting Period.
6.  Run the numbers, you can get several thousand dollars in benefits for pennies a day, see the costs below;

 Age               Monthly

17 – 24            $60.45
25 – 34            $68.70
35 – 44            $89.90
